cityseer-api is a Python package consisting of computational tools for fine-grained street-network and land-use analysis, helpful in assessing the morphological precursors to vibrant neighbourhoods. It underpinned by network-based methods developed specifically urban analysis at pedestrian scale. computes variety node segment-based network centrality methods, accessibility mixed-use measures, statistical aggregations. Accessibilities aggregations are computed dynamically over while taking walking distance thresholds direction approach into account, can optionally incorporate spatial impedances decomposition increase precision. The use facilitates compatibility with popular manipulation (NetworkX), geospatial topology (shapely), data state management (GeoPandas), NumPy stack scientific packages. provision robust cleaning aids OpenStreetMap analysis. Underlying loop-intensive algorithms implemented Numba JIT compiled code so that scale efficiently larger cities regions.
